PRCBC has, with Amnesty UK, provided a submission to the Justice Committee’s inquiry into Children and Young Adults in the Secure Estate. We draw the Committee’s attention to the circumstances of children and young adults, many of whom born in the UK or brought to this country at an early age, who are without British citizenship notwithstanding their rights to be registered as British. This has profound implications for the aims of the youth justice system and prospects of rehabilitation and social integration.
