This joint PRCBC and Amnesty submission to the Public Accounts Committee concerns Home Office fees charged in relation to rights to British citizenship. This is for the Committee’s inquiry into Government services: identifying costs and generating income. It draws attention to the injustice and harmful impact of unaffordable and above-cost fees for people to have their British citizenship formally registered; and to the limitations and inadequacies of relevant fee exemptions and waivers.
