Who is this workshop for? Paralegals and recently qualified solicitors working for charity organisations, legal aid and private firms.
What will this workshop provide? An understanding of law, policy and practice of British Nationality law (including application process and procedure).
What is the aim of this workshop? To understand who may be a British citizen by birth and who has a right to register by entitlement or discretion. To raise awareness of children’s citizenship rights.
Method of delivery: Attendees are expected to attend this workshop in person only. The course will be delivered at PRCBC’s office, Work.Life Hammersmith, 174 Hammersmith Road, London W6 7JP.The workshop will not be recorded.
The Project for the Registration of Children as British Citizens (PRCBC) is the first and only organisation to focus directly on children and young adults and their right to British citizenship. Many children and young adults are eligible to register as British citizens, but do not do so for various reasons. We aim to raise awareness of registration and the importance of citizenship, as well as to support and increase the number of children and young adults who register as British citizens.
Speaker: Solange Valdez-Symonds (PRCBC solicitor and CEO). Solange is an experienced solicitor and is the co-founder of PRCBC.
How much is the course? Attendance is free but attendees are encouraged to make a donation at time of booking.

You will only be able to book and attend this workshop if you work for a firm or organisation as a practising junior lawyer/caseworker/paralegal, and are able to commit to attend this workshop in person.
